Job summary

Vertu Hyundai Exeter is seeking a Vehicle Technician to join a skilled aftersales team. You will service, repair and diagnose vehicles to manufacturer standards, with a focus on quality and first-time fixes. The role offers modern workshop facilities and extensive training on hybrid and electric technologies.

The package includes a base salary up to £40,220, with an over-performance bonus and a £4,000 bonus package, plus progression opportunities across Vertu Motors’ 190+ locations.

Qualifications

• A recognised automotive qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent).
• Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician.
• MOT Licence desirable but not essential.
• Your own set of tools.
• A full UK driving licence.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship and good service.
• Proactive approach to developing technical skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, repairs and diagnostics to manufacturer standards.
• Ensure vehicles are returned safely and efficiently.
• Work with Hyundai's latest technology including hybrids/electrics.
• Strive for first-time fixes and quality workmanship.

We offer a basic salary of up to £40,220, depending on skills, experience and qualifications, based on a 42-hour working week, Monday to Friday, plus an additional over-performance bonus opportunity.

To welcome you to the business, we're also offering an excellent £4,000 bonus package, including:

• £2,000 Sign-On Bonus paid in Month 1


• £2,000 Retention Bonus paid in Month 13

About The Role

As a Vehicle Technician, you'll play a key role in delivering an outstanding customer motoring experience built on trust, quality and professionalism.

Working as part of a highly skilled team, you'll be responsible for carrying out vehicle servicing, maintenance, repairs and diagnostics to manufacturer standards, ensuring every vehicle is returned to our customers safely and efficiently.

Quality workmanship, attention to detail and achieving first-time fixes are at the heart of everything we do. You'll be given the tools, training and support needed to continually develop your skills while working with some of Hyundai's latest vehicle technologies, including hybrid and electric models.

Salary Packages Available

• Service & Maintenance Technicians – Basic salaries up to £37,700


• Service & Diagnostic Technicians – Basic salaries up to £40,220

What We're Looking For
