Job summary

Winsearch are recruiting an experienced Vehicle Technician/Mechanic to join a growing automotive operation in the Edinburgh area.

This hands-on role focuses on diagnostics, fault-finding and delivering high-quality repairs in a professional workshop environment with emphasis on accuracy and safety:

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience as Vehicle Technician or Mechanic.
• Experience in dealership, repair garage, vehicle manufacturer or fleet environment.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Good knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and electronic faults.
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve issues.
• Repair and replace defective vehicle components.
• Conduct inspections and safety checks.
• Complete work to a high standard and within agreed timescales.
• Maintain accurate documentation and job records.
• Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed.

We're recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Technician/Mechanic to join a growing automotive operation based in the Edinburgh area.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys diagnostics, problem-solving and delivering high-quality repairs. You'll be working within a professional environment where attention to detail, technical knowledge and quality workmanship are valued.

The Role

• Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and electronic faults

What We're Looking For

Desirable

• NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent qualification
• MOT Tester licence
• Hybrid or EV experience
• High Voltage certification
• Manufacturer training or accreditation
