Job summary

Winsearch is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician/Mechanic to join an expanding automotive operation in the Edinburgh area. This hands-on role focuses on diagnostics, servicing and high-quality repairs within a professional workshop.

You will diagnose faults, service vehicles, and use diagnostic equipment to resolve issues, while maintaining accurate records and adhering to health and safety procedures. The position is permanent, full-time, with benefits and a salary up to £43,000 per year.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience as Vehicle Technician or Mechanic.
• Experience in dealership, repair garage, vehicle manufacturer or fleet environment.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Good knowledge of vehicle electrical and mechanical systems.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and electronic faults.
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve issues.
• Repair and replace defective vehicle components.
• Conduct inspections and safety checks.
• Complete work to a high standard within agreed timescales.
