Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Vehicle Repair required.
• At least 3 years of workshop experience, preferably in a main dealer.
• Experience with diagnostics and electrical systems.
• Full UK driving licence with up to 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair vehicles to manufacturer standards.
• Diagnose faults and rectify mechanical and electrical issues.
• Inspect vehicles and prepare reports on safety and performance.
• Complete MOTs if qualified and maintain accurate work records.
• Collaborate within a busy workshop team to meet productivity goals.

We are seeking a qualified Vehicle Technician to join a well-established dealership in Burton. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Vehicle Technician to contribute to a busy workshop, develop their skills, and progress their career within a reputable organisation. The successful individual will be responsible for maintaining high standards of vehicle care across a range of established automotive brands.

Duties of a Vehicle Technician

• Conduct servicing, maintenance, and repairs to manufacturer standards
• Perform diagnostics and rectify mechanical and electrical faults
• Carry out thorough vehicle inspections and prepare reports on vehicle condition, safety, and performance
• Complete vehicle safety tests, including MOTs (if qualified)
• Ensure vehicles are safe, roadworthy, and meet quality standards as aVehicle Technician
• Maintain accurate records of work completed
• Work efficiently to meet workshop productivity goals and quality standards
• Collaborate effectively within a busy workshop team

Requirements of a Vehicle Technician

• Level 3 NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent in Vehicle Repair
• At least 3 years of practical workshop experience, preferably within a main dealer environment
• Experience in diagnostics and using electronic systems
• MOT licence desirable but not essential
• Strong mechanical skills with attention to detail
• Positive attitude and teamwork skills
• Full UK driving licence with a maximum of 6 points
