Job summary

Halfords is seeking a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic in Bournemouth, Dorset. The role is full-time with a base salary of £36,620–£43,220 per year, plus an uncapped monthly bonus averaging £6,600 and on-target earnings up to £43,220.

You will service and repair vehicles, perform diagnostics, and handle items such as clutches and timing belts, with opportunities to progress through hybrid training and ATA/MOT qualifications.

Qualifications

• Must have a Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or time served experience.
• Must have a full driving licence with no more than 9 points.
• Experienced Technician/Mechanic able to carry out diagnostic work (brakes, steering/suspension, engine) and more complex repair and replacements.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing and repair/replacement work.
• Perform diagnostics on vehicles and handle complex tasks (clutches, timing belts).
• Work on areas such as electrical, brakes, steering and suspension.

As a Vehicle Technician/ Mechanic, you will be already skilled in servicing and repair/replacement work. You'll have the ability to carry out more complex tasks such as clutches and timing belt replacements and diagnostics in areas such as vehicle electrics, brake steering and suspension systems.

• Experienced Technician/Mechanic able to carry out diagnostic work (brakes, steering/suspension, engine) and more complex repair and replacements (coolant/diesel injectors, head gasket, brakes, electrical)
