Job summary

Venatu Automotive is seeking a Contracting Vehicle Technician who MUST hold an MOT Tester qualification to join a busy North East workshop. You will work across multiple dealership and independent workshop environments, with consistent, ongoing contract work and flexible opportunities.

The role requires your own tools, a full UK driving licence, and the ability to service and repair a range of vehicle brands to high standards. Excellent workshop and teamwork skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Inspecting, maintaining and repairing vehicles for reliability and roadworthiness.

Hours or shifts: Monday to Fridays, 08:30am to 17:00pm

Venatu Automotive are seeking an experienced Contracting Vehicle Technician & MUST Hold MOT Tester to join our contracting team, supporting a range of dealerships, independent garages, and fast-fit workshops across North East. We offer ongoing contractual placements with consistent work opportunities. This is a great opportunity for skilled automotive professionals looking for flexible, ongoing contract work within a busy and varied workshop environment.

Candidates must have:

• Their own tools and transport


• The ability to work across a variety of vehicle brands


• Experience carrying out servicing, vehicle preparation, maintenance, and repairs

Key responsibilities

• Inspecting, maintaining and repairing vehicles to ensure reliability and roadworthiness.


• Completing job cards, maintenance records and associated paperwork accurately and clearly.


• Conducting routine servicing and preventative maintenance.


• Supporting general workshop duties as required to assist the wider team.

Skills and experience required

• Level 3 Qualification or above in Vehicle Maintenance service and Repair or equivalent.


• Full UK Driving Licence.


• Proven experience working as a service & repair technician in a workshop environment.


• Ability to work independently while maintaining high quality and safety standards.
