Job summary

HP4 RECRUITMENT LTD in Basildon is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our client’s team. You will service, maintain and repair vans and light commercial vehicles, using the latest diagnostic equipment.

This full-time role offers a competitive basic salary (£39,729) with OTE (£45,729), Monday to Friday hours, optional overtime, ongoing training, and clear career progression opportunities within a large national business. Modern workshops and up-to-date equipment provided.

Qualifications

• Level 3 NVQ / City & Guilds in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair preferred.
• Proven experience as Vehicle Technician / Mechanic / LCV Technician.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Experience working on vans or commercial vehicles (highly desirable).
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a range of vans and light commercial vehicles.
• Diagnose faults using the latest diagnostic equipment.
• Complete MOT preparation and general inspections.
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard in line with manufacturer guidelines.
• Accurately complete job cards, service records, and compliance paperwork.
• Work efficiently to meet productivity and workshop targets.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.

About the Role

Our client is one of the UKs leading vehicle hire and fleet management businesses, and they are currently looking for skilled Vehicle Technicians to join their growing team across multiple sites nationwide.

This role will focus primarily on the maintenance, servicing, and repair of light commercial vehicles (LCVs) and vans , ensuring fleet reliability and safety for a wide customer base.
