Job summary

The AA is seeking a Vehicle Technical Advisor in Oldbury to provide expert telephone-based technical support for customers and to guide patrol deployment. You will influence breakdown decisions while delivering excellent service and maintaining clear communications with customers.

Ideal candidates will have NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Light Vehicle maintenance and Repair, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to explain technical concepts simply. Flexible hours include weekends.

Qualifications

NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Light Vehicle maintenance and Repair with relevant industry experience.
Strong problem-solving ability to diagnose and fix vehicle issues.
Excellent communication to explain technical information to customers and patrols.
Willingness to work weekends and outside normal hours on a roster.

Responsibilities

Provide essential technical support and advice to customers over the phone.
Direct and support Patrols by ensuring attendance only for genuine breakdowns.
Record data accurately in relevant databases for management insights.
Communicate technical information clearly to customers to aid understanding and satisfaction.
Work as part of a target-driven team to achieve service goals.
