Job summary

The AA is seeking a Vehicle Technical Advisor in Oldbury to deliver expert technical support by telephone and coordinate with patrols to attend genuine breakdowns. You’ll use your automotive knowledge to assist customers and frontline staff, ensuring efficient resolution and accuracy in data recording.

Shifts run from early morning to late evening across a roster, with flexible office days. The role offers a £35,000 pa salary plus benefits and opportunities to develop within a growing team.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Light Vehicle maintenance and Repair required.
• Strong problem-solving abilities with a mechanical focus.
• Excellent communication skills with customers and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Provide essential technical support and repairs for customers.
• Advise customers clearly and translate technical information into simple guidance.
• Record accurate data on relevant databases and systems.
• Coordinate with patrols to attend only genuine breakdowns.
