The AA is seeking a Vehicle Technical Advisor in Oldbury to provide expert phone-based technical support and breakdown guidance. You will be the go-to specialist for customers seeking telephone fixes and will help ensure patrols are directed only where needed.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Light Vehicle maintenance and Repair or equivalent with substantial experience.
• Experience in the motor vehicle repair industry.
• Ability to explain complex technical information simply to customers.
• Willingness to work weekends and outside normal hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide essential technical support, advice, and repair fixes for customers.
• Ensure attendance only for genuine breakdown scenarios and effective resolutions.
• Record data accurately in relevant databases for insights and decision-making.
• Communicate clearly with customers and patrols to ensure understanding.
• Maintain a target-driven approach to achieve results.
