Job summary

Halfords is recruiting a Vehicle Service Technician to perform interim, full and major services, and related repair work across our Autocentres. You will handle tyres, brakes, transmission, steering and suspension tasks as part of routine servicing.

The role offers a base salary of £32,000 with an uncapped monthly bonus scheme averaging £4,500 per year, aiming at on-target earnings of £36,500. A full UK driving licence is required, with up to 9 points allowed, and 5.6 weeks’ annual leave.

Qualifications

• Must have a Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent OR time served experience.
• Must have a full driving licence with no more than 9 points.
• Experience delivering interim, full and major services plus repair/replacement work (brakes, suspension, steering, air con).

Responsibilities

• Carry out interim, full and major services and follow up repair and replacement work as required.
• Perform tyres, brakes, transmission, steering and suspension tasks as part of service routines.
