Job summary

Halfords seeks a Vehicle Service Technician to perform interim, full and major services, as well as follow-up repair work across tyres, brakes, suspension and steering. You will join a team in a busy Autocentre within the Halfords family, delivering high-quality motoring services.

Applicants should hold a Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent) and possess a full UK driving licence with up to 9 points. Hybrid training pathways and ATA/MOT qualifications are supported.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair qualification or time served equivalent.
• Full UK driving licence with clean record (no more than 9 points).
• Experience delivering interim, full and major services and related repairs.

Responsibilities

• Carry out interim, full and major services on vehicles.
• Perform follow-up repairs and replacement work (tyres, brakes, suspension, steering, air conditioning).
• Ensure work meets Halfords standards and safety regulations.

Job description

• On-target earnings up to £35,600.
• Comprising a base salary of £32,000.
• An uncapped monthly bonus scheme with average additional earnings of £3,600 per year.

Skills And Experience

• Must have a Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent OR time served experience
• Must have a full drivers licence with no more than 9 points
• Experience of delivering interim, full and major services plus relevant repair and replacement work (brakes, suspension and steering component replacement, air con service etc)
