Job summary

Halfords is seeking a Vehicle Service Technician to join the UK’s largest automotive service, maintenance and repair network. You will carry out interim, full and major services and handle follow-up repair work, including tyres, brakes, transmission, steering and suspension.

We offer an uncapped bonus scheme with average earnings of £4,500 per year, plus a base salary up to £34,000 and on-target earnings up to £38,500.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or time served experience.
• Must have a full UK driving licence with no more than 9 points.
• Experience delivering interim, full and major services and related repairs.

Responsibilities

• Carry out interim, full and major services and follow-up repairs.
• Work on tyres, brakes, transmission, steering and suspension as part of service work.

Skills and experience

• Must have a Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent OR time served experience
• Must have a full drivers licence with no more than 9 points
• Experience of delivering interim, full and major services plus relevant repair and replacement work (brakes, suspension and steering component replacement, air con service etc)
