Job summary

McLaren Automotive Ltd in the United Kingdom seeks an accomplished Programme Manager to lead cross-functional vehicle, technology and component programmes. You will shape early target setting, budget alignment and long-term strategy to meet top-level financial targets.

The role requires extensive programme management experience within automotive or similarly complex industries, with strong stakeholder leadership and a track record of delivering on strategic plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or equivalent.
• Extensive experience in programme management and automotive sector.
• Experience in commercial management, stakeholder management and change management.
• Understanding of McLaren processes and procedures beneficial.
• Experience in high volume and niche vehicle manufacturers.
• Experience in future programme planning from concept to kick-off.
• Experience in strategic business planning, budget development and target setting.
• Leadership/people management experience.
• PM qualifications desirable (PMP, Agile, Six Sigma).

Responsibilities

• Lead development of early target setting for future programmes with PMO and VLDs.
• Drive carryover content across programmes to optimise capital expenditure.
• Ensure delivery of the approved product plan and project data for cross-functional budget, resource and spend planning.
• Delivery of product development projects aligned to the McLaren Development Process.
• Cross-program component and system sharing via early alignment of function requirements across products.
• Collaborate with PMO functions to size and scale future vehicle programmes and delivery mechanisms.
• Lead standardisation of methods and ways of working between programmes.
• Develop a people and skills strategy for Engineering functions.
• Participate in financial target setting and side product plan studies.
