Job summary

Armstrong & Burns Ltd in Beeston, Leeds is seeking a dedicated Vehicle Paint Technician to join our bodyshop. You will prepare panels, apply three-stage pearl and tinted clear coats, and deliver finishes that meet manufacturer standards. Ideal candidates hold a Level 3 NVQ in Vehicle Paint Refinishing with proven experience in a busy accident repair centre and a quality-focused approach. ATA accreditation is a strong plus, and regular training is provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 3 NVQ in Vehicle Paint Refinishing or related discipline.
• Experience as a Vehicle Paint Technician in a busy accident repair centre.
• Experience completing three-stage pearl and tinted clear coat applications.
• Ability to work to strict deadlines and maintain quality workmanship.
• ATA accreditation would be a strong advantage but is not essential.

We are recruiting a Vehicle Paint Technician on behalf of Armstrong & Burns Ltd, a well-established, independent and manufacturer-approved Accident Repair Centre based in Beeston, Leeds.

Working from a modern, well-equipped bodyshop, you will join an experienced team committed to completing high-quality vehicle repairs to manufacturer and industry standards.

• Flexible start / finish between (7am-8.30am / 3.30pm-5pm) - 4pm finish Friday

The Role: Vehicle Paint Technician

As a Paint Technician, you will prepare and refinish vehicles to an exceptional standard while working efficiently to meet strict deadlines.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing vehicles and panels for painting
• Colour matching and mixing paints accurately
• Applying paint finishes to manufacturer standards
• Confidently completing three-stage pearl and tinted clear coat applications
• Producing consistently high-quality finishes
• Working efficiently within a busy Accident Repair Centre
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
• Supporting colleagues and contributing positively to the wider team

About You

• A minimum Level 3 NVQ qualification in Vehicle Paint Refinishing or a related discipline
• Previous experience working as a Vehicle Paint Technician within a busy accident repair centre
• Experience completing three-stage pearl and tinted clear coat applications
• The ability to work competently and efficiently to strict deadlines
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work
• A positive attitude and the ability to work well as part of a team

ATA accreditation would be a strong advantage but is not essential.

The ideal candidate will be forward-thinking and proactive, with a willingness to share ideas that could improve working practices and increase efficiency.
