Job summary

Armstrong & Burns Ltd in Beeston, Leeds, is seeking an experienced MET Technician or Vehicle Repair Technician to join a modern bodyshop.

You will work on mechanical, electrical and trim work, including four-wheel alignment and ADAS calibration, with training and career development opportunities. The role offers a competitive salary dependent on experience and a structured start/end times with a Friday 4pm finish.

Qualifications

• Level 3 NVQ MET qualification.
• Experience in a busy Accident Repair Centre.
• Current ADAS certification.
• Four-wheel alignment certification.
• Hybrid and electric vehicle certification.
• Ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and teamwork.
• ATA accreditation would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Remove and refit mechanical, electrical and trim components.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults.
• Identify additional vehicle repair requirements.
• Complete four-wheel alignment and ADAS calibration work.
• Work safely on hybrid and electric vehicles.
• Ensure repairs meet manufacturer and industry standards.
• Complete work efficiently and within deadlines.
• Work with other technicians to hit targets.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment.

MET Technician / Vehicle Repair Mechanic | Beeston, Leeds

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

We are recruiting on behalf of Armstrong & Burns Ltd, a well-established, independent and manufacturer-approved Accident Repair Centre based in Beeston, Leeds.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced MET Technician, Vehicle Repair Technician or qualified Mechanic to join a modern, well-equipped bodyshop.

You will work alongside an experienced team committed to completing high-quality vehicle repairs to manufacturer and industry standards.

The Role

As an MET Technician, you will complete the mechanical, electrical and trim work required throughout the vehicle repair process.

• Removing and refitting mechanical, electrical and trim components
• Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
• Identifying additional vehicle repair requirements
• Completing four-wheel alignment and ADAS calibration work
• Working safely on hybrid and electric vehicles
• Ensuring all vehicle repairs meet manufacturer and industry standards
• Completing work efficiently and accurately within agreed deadlines
• Working closely with other technicians and mechanics to achieve team and bodyshop targets
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment

About You

• A minimum Level 3 NVQ qualification in MET
• Previous experience within a busy Accident Repair Centre
• Current ADAS certification
• Four-wheel alignment certification
• Hybrid and electric vehicle certification
• The ability to complete vehicle repair work competently and efficiently to strict deadlines
• Strong mechanical, diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work
• A positive attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
• ATA accreditation would be a strong advantage but is not essential.

The ideal candidate will be forward-thinking and proactive, with a willingness to share ideas that could improve vehicle repair processes and increase efficiency.
