Job summary

Kelling Group in the United Kingdom is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to manage the movement of vehicles across the supply chain. You will plan schedules, track movements, and coordinate with customers, service providers, and drivers to ensure timely, cost-efficient deliveries.

The role requires 2+ years in logistics, strong organisational and negotiation skills, and knowledge of UK vehicle transport regulations. Office-based with some site visits; permanent, full-time employment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in logistics software and inventory management systems.
• Knowledge of vehicle transport regulations within the UK.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule the movement of vehicles, ensuring timely pickup and delivery.
• Liaise with customers, service providers & drivers to arrange vehicle movements.
• Track and monitor vehicle movements, addressing delays or issues promptly.
• Optimise transportation routes to reduce costs and improve delivery times.
• Coordinate with storage facilities to oversee receipt, storage, and dispatch of vehicles.
• Maintain records of vehicle inventory and shipments, ensuring data accuracy in the inventory management system.
• Communicate with transport service providers and vendors to ensure timely movement of vehicles.
• Negotiate rates and terms with logistics providers to achieve cost savings.
• Resolve discrepancies or issues with service providers regarding orders and deliveries.
• Ensure all logistics activities comply with vehicle operating regulations and maintain documentation.
