Job summary

Proactive Global in the United Kingdom is seeking a Logistics Co-ordinator to oversee the movement of materials, equipment and goods from suppliers to customer sites, ensuring safe, on-time deliveries.

You will work closely with Project Managers and suppliers to plan transport, monitor shipments and keep logistics records up to date, delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in logistics or shipping coordination.
• Excellent organisational skills with multiple priorities.
• Strong customer service and relationship-building abilities.
• Confident communicator with telephone etiquette.
• Experience with freight forwarders or third-party logistics.
• Knowledge of domestic and international shipping processes.
• Experience with customs/import-export documentation.
• Familiarity with WMS/ERP or Smartsheet systems.
• Understanding of Incoterms and international freight procedures.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate domestic and international transport for customer orders and projects.
• Arrange cost-effective transport with approved providers to meet timescales.
• Schedule deliveries with the Project Management team.
• Monitor transport costs and identify opportunities to reduce expenditure.
• Track inbound and outbound shipments from dispatch to final delivery.
• Proactively monitor shipment progress and communicate updates to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Investigate delays or issues and work with partners to resolve them.
• Coordinate road, air and sea freight as required.
• Maintain shipping documentation and records in systems.
