Job summary

RAC is seeking a Vehicle Inspector to join our inspections team in Manchester. As a crucial part of our team, you will conduct vehicle inspections, complete condition reports, and collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality service delivery. Applicants must have an NVQ Level 2 in light vehicle maintenance and strong mechanical knowledge. The role offers a competitive base salary of £28,750, with the potential to earn up to £36,000 through bonuses and overtime, plus additional benefits including a pension scheme and personal support service.

Shifts - Wed to Sun with 1 in 4 Mondays 8am - 5:30pm

As a Vehicle Inspector, you'll be responsible for:

• Conducting vehicle inspections following established procedures, reporting findings via a PDA report template
• Complete used vehicle condition reports
• Collaborate with team members to maintain daily site inspections
• Engage with customer contacts to ensure high quality service delivery

What We're Looking For

To excel in this role, you must have:

• NVQ Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent)
• Comprehensive mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair
• Understanding of vehicle diagnostics, software updates, and electric/hybrid vehicles (advantageous)
• Strong written communication skills and the ability to interact effectively at all levels
• A full UK driving licence
