Job summary

RAC is hiring Vehicle Assessment Technicians to join our Inspections team on site at client premises. You will complete quality vehicle condition reporting and testing as part of a site-based inspector role, reporting findings via PDA templates and supporting ongoing growth of our trusted brand.

Newly qualified or experienced vehicle technicians are encouraged to apply, with market-leading training to develop expertise in diagnostics, maintenance and hybrid/electric vehicle knowledge while

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent motor trade industry experience.
• Sound mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Good understanding of vehicle diagnostics, software updates; electric/hybrid vehicles advantageous.
• Strong written skills and ability to communicate at all levels.
• Valid UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Complete work against set inspection procedures with findings reported via a PDA report template.
• Complete used-vehicle condition reports.
• Maintain daily site inspections through cooperation with other team colleagues.
• Maintain contact and interaction with customer contacts.
