Job summary

Marston Holdings is seeking a Vehicle Inspector to join the team in a full-time capacity. You will inspect taxis and PHVs to TfL criteria, record findings, and liaise with customers to arrange re-bookings and rectifications.

Ideal candidates will have a full UK driving licence, strong attention to detail, and solid report-writing and organisational skills. The role is based on-site with typical weekday hours and potential overtime.

Responsibilities

What you'll be doing:

As a Vehicle Inspector with Marston Holdings Ltd you will carry out vehicle inspections in line with Transport for London [TfL] Quality Assurance systems.

• Inspect Taxis and Private Hire Vehicles to meet TfL licencing criteria
• Record inspection findings using PCs and Handheld Computers
• Liaise with customers, offering test feedback, advice, and guidance in terms of re-booking and rectifications required
• Updating the system with any vehicle changes, damage reports or new documentation
• Liaise with colleagues and TfL over policy, procedures, and changes

• Close attention to detail, ability to check documentation to ensure it is accurate and check vehicles to ensure they are in line with the licencing rules
• Excellent customer service skills
