Job summary

Big Motoring World Group in Leeds is seeking a Vehicle Inspector and Valuer to work with the sales team, taking responsibility for negotiating car valuations for customers’ existing vehicles.

You will greet customers and deliver used car valuations with passion and understanding, following your updated knowledge of the market.

Qualifications

• Hold a Full UK Driving Licence; driving prerequisites apply.
• Basic mechanical knowledge and understanding of car makes/models.
• Strong customer focus with clear communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers professionally and confidently.
• Complete thorough appraisals of potential part exchange vehicles using an auction valuation app.
• Carry out HPI checks.
• Review MOT and service history of potential part exchange vehicles.
• Obtain online retail valuations for retail vehicles.
• Obtain online auction valuations for auction vehicles.
• Liaise with Sales Managers to upload part exchange valuations onto the internal dashboard.
• Receive and process incoming part exchange vehicles from the Handover Team.
• Move incoming vehicles into designated areas and scan documents onto the system.
• Coordinate collection of part exchange vehicles with Senior Branch Management.
• Perform any other reasonable duties as requested.

Description

As a vehicle Inspector and valuer, you will be working together with the sales team, you are fully responsible and accountable for negotiating car valuations for our customers’ existing vehicles.

You will enjoy and be confident talking to our customers and delivering used car valuations with passion and understanding with your newly found knowledge.

What will you do

• To greet Customers in a professional and confident manner.
• To complete a thorough and accurate appraisal of potential part exchange vehicles using an auction valuation app.
• To complete HPI checks.
• To review the MOT and Service History of potential part exchange vehicles.
• To obtain online retail valuations for those vehicles qualifying as retail vehicles.
• To obtain online auction valuations for those vehicles qualifying as auction vehicles.
• To liaise with Sales Managers to upload part exchange valuations onto the Company’s internal dashboard system.
• To receive and process incoming part exchange vehicles from the Handover Team.
• To move incoming part exchange vehicles into the correct designated areas.
• To scan all vehicle documents onto the internal system.
• To liaise with Senior Branch Management to arrange for the collection of part exchange vehicles from site.
• To conduct any other reasonable duties as requested.

Essential Skills

• Hold a Full UK Driving Licence - Any job offer that requires driving company vehicles is subject to a DVLA check, and applicants with six or more penalty points or a previous disqualification may not meet our insurance requirements and therefore may not be eligible for employment.

Full in-house training, ranging from vehicle appraisals and value presentation to using the latest industry leading vehicle valuations software, with ongoing support with the latest used cars data trends.

This is a face to face job and there is no lead generating, prospecting or phone sales involved. We supply a constant stream of customers with cars that need to be valued.
