Job summary

Job description

We require an additional Estimator / VDA to join and support the existing team in Andover, Hampshire. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn the commercial vehicle repair sector and contribute to a thriving business.

Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA)

We are expanding our existing VDA / Estimator team in Andover and therefore looking for an experienced Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA) to join.

The Role

As a VDA, you’ll be responsible for accurately assessing vehicle damage, preparing repair estimates and ensuring repairs are planned efficiently and to the required standards.

You’ll work closely with the existing VDA colleagues, workshop, customers, insurers and other key contacts, helping to keep repairs moving smoothly from initial assessment through to completion.

About You

• Previous experience working as a Vehicle Damage Assessor, Estimator or in a similar vehicle repair role
• Previous experience within either the car or commercial vehicle damage and repair sector
• A recognized VDA qualification, such as an ATA Vehicle Damage Assessor qualification, or equivalent industry experience/qualification
• A strong understanding of vehicle body repair methods, processes and estimating
• Experience assessing damage and producing accurate repair estimates
• Good knowledge of modern vehicles, repair techniques and associated costs
• Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach
• Strong communication skills, with the confidence to deal with customers, insurers and colleagues
• The ability to manage your workload effectively and work to deadlines in a busy environment
• A practical, solutions-focused approach and a genuine interest in the vehicle repair industry
