Holdcroft Motor Group in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent is seeking a meticulous Vehicle Appraiser to assess vehicle condition and value, photograph units, and create accurate online descriptions to support stock acquisition and customer service.

The role requires knowledge of makes, models and market values, a full UK driving licence, and the ability to work independently or with the team, while delivering high-quality appraisals in a busy retail environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Vehicle Appraiser or similar automotive role
• Strong knowledge of makes, models, specs and market values
• Ability to assess vehicle condition and identify repairs

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Able to manage a busy workload and prioritise tasks
• Holds a full UK driving licence

Vehicle Appraiser

Location: Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent

Salary: £26,436 + Bonus

Hours of work: Monday to Friday 08:30-17:00

About the Role

We are looking for a professional and detail-oriented Vehicle Appraiser to join our busy team in Hanley. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong automotive background who is passionate about vehicle inspections, valuations, and delivering excellent customer service.

As a Vehicle Appraiser, you will be responsible for accurately assessing the condition and value of vehicles, ensuring all appraisals are completed to a high standard. You will work closely with the sales and purchasing teams to support stock acquisition and provide customers with a seamless experience.

Your Role:

• Carry out basic appraisals of trade vehicles.

• Photograph vehicles and prepare accurate, well-written descriptions for online listings.

• Upload vehicle details and photographs to the relevant website.

• Ensure vehicle listings are accurate, clear and professionally presented.

• Assist with occasional vehicle handovers to buyers.

• Manage a busy workload efficiently, working with minimal supervision.

• Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail when handling vehicle information.

• Be comfortable working in a hands-on, active environment, with around 8,000 steps per day.

About You:

We are looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience as a Vehicle Appraiser, Vehicle Inspector, Sales Executive, or within a similar automotive role

• Has a strong knowledge of vehicle makes, models, specifications, and market values

• Can confidently assess vehicle condition and identify repair requirements

• Has excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills

• Is confident communicating with customers and colleagues in a professional manner

• Can work independently while also contributing as part of a team

• Is able to manage a busy workload and prioritise tasks effectively

• Holds a full valid UK driving licence
