Job Description:

The Veeva Migration Technical Lead will be responsible for leading data and document migration projects within the life sciences industry, ensuring successful implementation of ECM systems such as Veeva Vault, OpenText Documentum, or Generis CARA. This role involves project planning, team leadership, stakeholder management, risk mitigation, change management, and pre-sales support. The position is remote with a flexible salary.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Partner with project managers and stakeholders to define project requirements, objectives, timelines, and resource efforts. Break these down into actionable work packages, ensuring they are effectively captured and tracked within development plans.
2. Serve as the liaison between the technical project team and stakeholders, including project managers, business contacts, and QA teams. Facilitate clear and effective communication, coordinate dependencies, provide timely updates, address concerns or issues promptly, and promote collaboration and teamwork.
3. Lead and manage a global team of technical consultants, including onshore and offshore employees and contractors, fostering a positive, collaborative, and results-oriented work environment.
4. Engage with technical stakeholders to gather feedback, understand their requirements, and manage expectations. Keep them informed about project progress, risks, and scope changes through weekly status reports.
5. Identify and mitigate technical risks, challenges, and potential roadblocks, communicating proactively with the Project Manager. Collaborate to explore solutions for addressing these risks.
6. Identify potential change orders and communicate them to the Project Manager. Provide detailed scope definitions, estimates, and resource planning for proposed changes.
7. Support business development and account management teams by providing technical expertise during the pre-sales phase, including developing tailored solutions and estimates.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Life Sciences, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in data and document migration, ECM implementation, or related fields, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within the life sciences industry.
• Extensive experience with ECM platforms (e.g., Veeva Vault, OpenText Documentum, Generis CARA), migration tools, SQL, XML, scripting languages, and cloud/on-premise solutions.
• Strong understanding of life sciences regulations, compliance, validation processes, GxP systems, and documentation requirements.
• Proven leadership in managing technical teams and complex projects, with excellent problem-solving skills.
