Job summary

Perfect Placement UK Ltd is seeking an experienced Van Technician to join our client in Wednesbury and the surrounding areas. You will carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on light commercial vehicles at customer sites, using diagnostic equipment to fault-find and ensure safety and compliance.

With a competitive base salary up to £45,000 and OTE above £55,000 through performance bonuses, you’ll work Monday to Friday with optional overtime.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)
• Proven experience as a Van Technician or similar role
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding capabilities
• Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Experience with wiring and camera systems advantageous

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on Light Commercial Vehicles at various customer locations
• Diagnose faults efficiently using diagnostic equipment as a Van Technician
• Perform vehicle health checks to ensure safety and compliance
• Conduct mechanical, electrical, and engine repairs as needed
• Complete detailed inspections and recommend suitable solutions
• Maintain accurate records of all work performed
• Provide excellent customer service directly at the customer’s site
• Ensure mobile workspace remains clean, organised, and adheres to safety standards
