Job summary

SAGA Truck & Van in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced vehicle technician to service and repair Mercedes-Benz vehicles. You will diagnose faults, perform repairs, and work on electrical and mechanical systems with focus on safety and efficiency.

Hours are Monday to Friday, 1:00 pm to 10:30 pm, totaling 45 hours per week with a 30-minute unpaid break. The role offers a discretionary bonus, holiday entitlement, health benefits, and opportunities within the SAGA/RCM network.

Qualifications

• Diagnose faults and repair vehicles with minimal supervision.
• Maintain vehicles to Mercedes-Benz standards.
• Use diagnostic equipment effectively.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain and repair vehicle problems per Mercedes-Benz guidelines.
• Service vehicles to high standards.
• Work on electrical and mechanical systems.
• Use diagnostic equipment effectively.
• Perform scheduled safety inspections and report fixes.
• Complete job cards clearly and accurately.
• Follow repair process from fault analysis to completion.
• Repair and replace parts as needed.
• Check vehicle subsystems for proper operation.
• Support other Technicians in the workshop.
• Operate Star diagnosis tools.
