Job summary

Perfect Placement UK Ltd in Wickford, Essex, is working with a reputable fleet maintenance company seeking a skilled Van Technician to join the team. You will service and repair light commercial vans and contribute to a high-volume workshop.

Core hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:30pm, with an optional Saturday rota paid as overtime. The role offers a competitive salary up to £41,000 per annum and a quarterly bonus scheme of up to £3,000 after six months.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working on light commercial vehicles
• Strong diagnostic and repair skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Full UK driving licence
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Good time management skills for high-volume workload

Responsibilities

• Conduct servicing, maintenance, and repairs on light commercial vehicles including Vivaro, Sprinter, Crafters, and utility vehicles
• Handle brake, clutch, timing belt, suspension, and turbo repairs
• Perform warranty work and some gearbox repairs (outsourced outside warranty)
• Manage a high-volume workload, servicing over 20 vehicles per day as a Van Technician
• Follow company procedures to ensure vehicle safety, quality, and compliance
• Maintain accurate diagnostic and repair records
• Ensure timely completion of repair jobs within specified deadlines
