Job summary

The Lanes Group plc in Leeds seeks a Van Pack Engineer to join our Operational Team, expanding a well‑established crew. You will attend customer sites, inspect drainage systems, and assist with high‑pressure water jetting while ensuring safety and accurate data entry on digital devices.

You will operate jetting equipment, support CCTV inspections, and help with routine maintenance. A full UK driving licence (no more than 6 points) is required, with responsibilities spanning fieldwork and

Qualifications

• Experience operating high‑pressure water jetting equipment.
• Experience inspecting drainage systems for blockages or damage.
• Familiarity with safety procedures and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Attend to customers, inform them of works and address concerns.
• Inspect drainage systems to identify blockages, leaks or damage.
• Report findings to relevant teams.
• Assist with high-pressure water jetting operations.
• Operate jetting equipment and adjust pressure as needed.
• Remove waste materials and prevent build‑up in drains/sewers.
• Use laptop/tablet for data entry.
• Report safety issues per procedures.
• Perform routine maintenance of jetting equipment.
• Assist with CCTV inspections when required.

Job description

The Lanes Group needs a Van Pack Engineer to join our Operational Team in Leeds working withing a well established team that are looking to expand further with another strong member of staff.,

• Attending to customers, informing them of works due to be carried out and answering any concerns
• Inspect drainage systems to identify blockages, leaks, or damage that could hinder water flow.
• reporting all findings / data to the appropriate teams
• assisting with all aspects of high pressure water jetting
• Operate high-pressure water jetting equipment to clean and clear blockages in drains, sewers, pipes, and other wastewater systems.
• Adjust pressure levels based on the condition of the system and the nature of the blockage (e.g., grease, debris, or tree roots).
• Use the equipment to remove waste materials and prevent build-up in drains and sewer lines.
• Competent in using an electronic device - laptop / tablet for data entry purposes
• Ensuring safety issues are reported in line with company procedures
• Perform routine maintenance and servicing of high-pressure water jetting equipment to ensure it is in proper working order.
