Octane Recruitment in Swinton is seeking a Van Technician / LCV Technician to join a family-like independent specialist. The role involves servicing and maintaining vans, diagnosing electrical, mechanical and hydraulic faults, and potentially MOT duties if qualified.

You must have a full UK driving license and 5+ years of vehicle technician experience; main dealer background is a plus. The job offers a Monday–Friday 40-hour week, early start flexibility, and attractive benefits including

Qualifications

• Full UK driving license.
• 5+ years as a Vehicle Technician.
• Experience fixing Vans/LCVs essential.
• Main dealership experience beneficial.
• NVQ/IMI/City and Guilds Level 3 or equivalent.
• Level 2 with main dealer experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing and maintenance of all vehicles.
• Electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic fault diagnosis and repair; may include warranty work.
• MOT testing duties (if qualified).

VanTechnician / LCV Technician - Swinton
Salary –Up to £50,000 Basic + Overtime at 1.5x Pay (Up to £36.06ph) DOE & Qualifications
Days– Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week, 8 hour working days (flexible working hours between 7:30am - 5:30pm, so can be 9am -5:30pm or 8am - 4:30pm), 1 in 3 Saturday mornings on a rota paid at 1.5x (8am – 12pm)

Van Technician / LCV Technician Role:

• Carry out servicing and maintenance of all vehicles
• Electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic fault diagnosis and repair, this work may include warranty approved work in line with our brand parameters
• Department of Transport (MOT) testing duties (if qualified)

Van Technician / LCV Technician Requirements:

• Full UK driving license
• Must have atleast 5+ years experience as a Vehicle Technician
• Experience in fixing Vans/ LCV's is essential
• Main dealership experience is beneficial but not essential
• NVQ, IMI or City and Guilds level 3 or equivalent ideally but will consider level 2 with main dealership experience
• We would consider applicants with less experience if you have main dealer experience at Ford or any Stellantis brand
