Job summary

A reputable franchise-approved commercial vehicle dealer group is recruiting a skilled Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV)/Van Technician for their busy Gloucester dealership. This is an excellent opportunity for automotive professionals seeking career progression in a supportive and dynamic environment.

You will complete service, maintenance and repairs to OEM standards, diagnose faults, document findings, and support the team to meet productivity targets.

Qualifications

• Qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
• At least 1–2 years of relevant practical experience post-qualification.
• Experience on vans/LCV is advantageous but not essential.
• Team player with a strong work ethic and target-driven.

Responsibilities

• Complete service, maintenance and repairs to manufacturer standards.
• Perform diagnostics and repairs of vehicle faults.
• Document diagnostic findings, repairs and service reports accurately.
• Support workshop colleagues with technical issues and knowledge sharing.
• Maintain high quality standards in a busy workshop.

Duties of the Van Technician:

• Complete all service, maintenance, and repair work to manufacturer standards efficiently and accurately
• Perform comprehensive diagnosis and repairs of vehicle malfunctions
• Support colleagues with technical issues and knowledge-sharing
• Document diagnostic findings, repairs, safety inspections, and service reports accurately
• Adhere strictly to all company policies and procedures
• Maintain high quality standards in a busy workshop environment
• Support the workshop team to meet productivity targets and ensure customer satisfaction

Requirements of the Van Technician:

• Qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
• At least 1-2 years of relevant practical experience post-qualification
• Experience working on vans and light commercial vehicles is advantageous but not essential
• Excellent team player with a strong work ethic as the Van Technician
• Ability to produce high-quality work in a fast-paced environment
