Job summary

Greencore Group is recruiting for a driver at Tamworth depot. The role starts at 4am and involves 20–30 drops per day across a nationwide network. You will work five days per week, including Saturdays, with rotating rest days and on-the-job training provided.

During late hours (10pm–6am) you’ll earn an additional £1.15 per hour, plus a further £1.15 for Saturday work. Overtime premium applies after 42 hours.

Qualifications

• Have a full UK driving license, held for at least six months
• Be comfortable loading and unloading your vehicle and physically demanding work
• Have 6 months van driving experience
• Practice road safety at all times
• No more than 6 points on driving license

Responsibilities

• Drive and deliver items to customers as part of a nationwide team
• Carry out loading/unloading and ensure timely deliveries
• Work five days per week including mandatory Saturdays with a rolling rest day; on-the-job training provided

All routes are planned in with a run time between 8 to 12 hours long.

Tamworth:

Tamworth is a large picking depot and one of the busiest and most complexed in the area. The depot serves the major convenience retailers in the region and makes over 2000 deliveries per day.

What you'll be doing:

From the simple sandwich to a range of chilled foods, our customers need fresh stock daily and you could be part of our nationwide team making some of those 3.5 million deliveries each year and keeping Britain fed. You would be expected to work five days per week, which would include mandatory Saturdays. With this shift pattern there will be no Sunday work and working day off as well on rotation. On-the-job training is provided and you will be partnered up with another team member to start with.
