Job summary

Stonehouse, Gloucestershire depot is seeking a delivery driver to load orders, deliver to customers and maintain vehicle tidiness. The role requires a full UK driving licence, a willingness to work Saturdays, and adherence to safety policies.

Training is provided and progression opportunities are available within Greencore. Shifts start at 13:30, with a rolling rest day, and pay ranges from 13.60 to 17.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence held for at least six months with a maximum of 6 points.
• Excellent people skills and a customer-focused approach.
• Ability to work the stated shift pattern including Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Load customer orders from warehouse to van.
• Ensure all orders are correct with delivery notes.
• Deliver customer orders in the correct manner.
• Follow health and safety and driving laws.
• Stack trays neatly in van and remove empty trays from customers.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in vans/areas at all times.
• Wear PPE issued at all times.

Job description

From the simple sandwich to a range of chilled foods, our customers need fresh stock daily and you could be part of our nationwide team making some of those 3.5 million deliveries each year and keeping Britain fed. You would be expected to work five days per week, which would include mandatory Saturdays. With this shift pattern there will be no Sunday work and working day off as well on rotation. On-the-job training is provided and you will be partnered up with another team member to start with. Full training will be provided if successful in this role but are looking for the following knowledge and experience :

• Loading Customer orders from Warehouse to your Van
• Ensuring all orders correct with delivery notes
• Delivering customer order in correct manner
• Following Health and safety and driving laws
• Ensuring all trays are stacked neatly in van and empty tray from customers
• Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness in vans/areas at all times
• Ensuring all PPE issued is worn at all times

Being great with people is essential. In fact, this is the first thing we look for when we recruit a Greencore driver. Of course, you also need to have a full UK driving licence held for at least six months with a maximum of 6 points. Van driving experience is preffered.

Shift Times: 13:30 Start Time Shift Pattern: Sunday to Friday with a rolling rest day Pay Rate: 13.60 per hour (+ 1.15 for any hours worked between 10pm and 6am) Overtime: Premiums are payable after 42 hours at time and a quarter Workload: On average between 20-30 drops per day All routes are planned in at 8 to 12 hours long.
