Job summary

Greencore Tamworth depot is hiring a delivery driver to help keep Britain fed, delivering fresh stock daily on a national network. You will join a busy picking depot, working five days per week with mandatory Sundays, and training provided.

Starting times between 11am and 2pm, pay £14.20 per hour plus up to £1.15 extra for night and Sunday work, with overtime after 42 hours at time and a quarter. There are benefits including pension, life cover, and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• Must hold a full UK driving license for at least six months.
• Demonstrate road safety at all times.
• Have around six months of van driving experience.
• Able to load and unload the vehicle; physically demanding work.
• No more than 6 points on driving license.

Responsibilities

• Deliver goods as part of a nationwide team; approx 3.5 million deliveries per year.
• Work five days per week, including Sundays; rotating day off; no Saturday work.
• Receive on-the-job training and pair up with another team member.

Sunday to Friday with a rolling rest day

Workload

Between 20-30 drops per day

Overtime

Overtime Premium are payable after 42 hours at time and a quarter

Routes

All routes are planned in with a run time between 8 to 12 hours long.

Tamworth

Tamworth is a large picking depot and one of the busiest and most complexed in the area. The depot serves the major convenience retailers in the region and makes over 2000 deliveries per day.

What you'll be doing

From the simple sandwich to a range of chilled foods, our customers need fresh stock daily and you could be part of our nationwide team making some of those 3.5 million deliveries each year and keeping Britain fed. You would be expected to work five days per week, which would include mandatory Sundays. With this shift pattern there will be no Saturday work and working day off as well on rotation. On-the-job training is provided and you will be partnered up with another team member to start with. What we're looking for

• Have a full UK driving license, held for at least six months
• Practice Road safety at all times
• Have 6 months van driving experience
• Be comfortable loading and unloading your vehicle and physically demanding work
• Have no more than 6 points on your driving license
