Job summary

Greencore Tamworth is recruiting a delivery driver to join a busy picking depot that handles thousands of deliveries daily. You will contribute to keeping Britain fed by ensuring timely stock replenishment and accurate handovers to retailers.

You will work five days per week, including Sundays, with a shift pattern starting between 11am and 2pm. On-the-job training is provided, and there are opportunities for progression within Greencore.

Qualifications

• Must hold a full UK driving license for at least six months.
• Ability to drive a van and perform loading/unloading tasks.
• Commitment to road safety at all times.
• No more than 6 points on your driving license.

Responsibilities

• Deliver items to clients across the UK as part of a nationwide team.
• Load and unload goods at drops and ensure safe handling.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and communicate delays or issues.
• Work five days per week, including Sundays, with on-site training.

Job description

ShiftTimes: Start time between 11am and 2pm

Pay Rate: £14.20 per hour (+ £1.15 between 10pm & 6am, + £1.15 for Sunday Work)

Shift Pattern: Sunday to Friday with a rolling rest day

Workload: Between 20-30 drops per day

Overtime: Overtime Premium are payable after 42 hours at time and a quarter

All routes are planned in with a run time between 8 to 12 hours long.

Tamworth:

Tamworth is a large picking depot and one of the busiest and most complexed in the area. The depot serves the major convenience retailers in the region and makes over 2000 deliveries per day.

What you’ll be doing:

From the simple sandwich to a range of chilled foods, our customers need fresh stock daily and you could be part of our nationwide team making some of those 3.5 million deliveries each year and keeping Britain fed.You would be expected to work five days per week,which would include mandatorySundays. With this shift pattern there will be no Saturday work and working day off as well on rotation.On-the-job training is provided and you will be partnered up with another team member to start with. What we’re looking for:

Being great with people is essential. In fact, this is the first thing we look for when we recruit a Greencore driver. Of course, you also need to:

• Have afull UK driving license, held for at least six months
• Practice Road safety at all times
• Have 6 months van driving experience
• Be comfortable loading and unloading your vehicle and physically demanding work
• Have no more than 6 points on your driving license
