Job summary

Greencore Group is recruiting for a driver to support our Peterborough depot, delivering stock to convenience retailers and forecourts. This role starts at 4am, with a Monday to Saturday pattern and a rolling rest day, and includes a night-time premium for hours between 10pm and 6am.

You will need a full UK driving licence with up to 6 points and be comfortable working five days per week, including Saturdays, with Sunday off on rotation.

Qualifications

• Requires full UK driving licence held for at least six months with a maximum of 6 points.
• Excellent people skills and a strong customer-service mindset.
• Willing to work five days per week including Saturdays; Sundays off on rotation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver daily stock to convenience retailers and forecourts.
• Maintain route discipline and ensure on-time deliveries.
• Assist with loading/unloading and perform basic vehicle checks.

Job description

ShiftTime:4am Start Time

Shift Pattern:Monday to Saturday with a rolling rest day

Pay Rate:£13.90 Per Hour(+ £1.15 for any hours worked between 10pm and 6am)

Overtime:Premiums are payable after 42 hours attime and a quarter

Workload:On average between 20/30 drops per day

Routes are planned in with a run time of 8 to 12 hours long.

Peterborough:

A distribution depot serving convenience retailers and forecourts in the region. The depot operates a fleet of 26 vehicles on 30 routes.

What you'll be doing:

From the simple sandwich to a range of chilled foods, our customers need fresh stock daily and you could be part of our nationwide team making some of those 3.5 million deliveries each year and keeping Britain fed.You would be expected to work five days per week,which would include mandatorySaturdays. With this shift pattern there will be no Sunday work and working day off as well on rotation.On-the-job training is provided and you will be partnered up with another team member to start with.
