Job summary

Greencore Exeter distribution centre is seeking a Van Driver on an AM shift to support its daily deliveries. You will start around 3-6am, earn £14.60 per hour with a £1.15 premium for overnight hours, and work five days per week with a rolling rest day. Training is provided and you will be paired with a teammate at start.

Overtime rules apply after 42 hours. You'll join a busy team delivering across the region, handling on-time stock replenishment for convenience retailers and ensuring accurate

Qualifications

• Must hold a full UK driving license with at least 6 months experience.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for customer-facing delivery work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 20–30 drops per day to multiple stops on a 3–6am shift.

Job Description

Shift Times: 3-6am Start Time

Pay Rate: £14.60 Per Hour (+ £1.15 for any hours worked between 10pm and 6am)

Shift Pattern: Monday to Saturday with a rolling rest day

Overtime: Overtime Premium are payable after 42 hours at time and a quarter

Workload: On average between 20 to 30 drops per day

All routes are planned in with a run time between 8 to 12 hours long.

Exeter: Our Distribution Centre in Exeter is a major Driving depot, employing more than 50 colleagues and operating a fleet of more than 40 vehicles. The depot serves major convenience retailers in the region.

What you'll be doing

From the simple sandwich to a range of chilled foods, our customers need fresh stock daily and you could be part of our nationwide team making some of those 3.5 million deliveries each year and keeping Britain fed. You would be expected to work five days per week, which would include mandatory Saturdays. With this shift pattern there will be no Sunday work and working day off as well on rotation. On-the-job training is provided and you will be partnered up with another team member to start with.
