Job summary

Greencore is recruiting a delivery driver at our Carmarthen depot. You’ll start at 3am and cover routes with a mixed workload, delivering to convenience retailers and forecourts across the region. You’ll work five days per week, including Saturdays, with a rolling rest day on rotation and no Sunday work.

We offer weekly pay, on-site facilities, and progression opportunities. A full UK driving licence and van driving experience are preferred; comprehensive on-the-job training is provided to help

Qualifications

• Must have a full UK driving licence and be eligible to drive a van.
• Van driving experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Excellent customer service and safe driving record are essential.

Responsibilities

• Load customer orders from Warehouse to van.
• Deliver customer orders in a timely and accurate manner.
• Ensure orders are correct with delivery notes and maintain vehicle cleanliness.

ShiftTimes:

3am Start Time

Shift Pattern

Monday to Saturday with a rolling rest day

Pay Rate:

£13.60 per hour (+ £1.15 for any hours worked between 10pm and 6am)

Overtime

Premiums are payable after 42 hours at time and a quarter

Workload:

On average between 20-30 drops per day

All routes are planned in at 8 to 12 hours long.

Carmarthen:

A distribution depot serving convenience retailers and forecourts in the region. The depot operates a fleet of 14 vehicles on 12 routes.

What you'll be doing:

From the simple sandwich to a range of chilled foods, our customers need fresh stock daily and you could be part of our nationwide team making some of those 3.5 million deliveries each year and keeping Britain fed.You would be expected to work five days per week,which would include mandatorySaturdays. With this shift pattern there will be no Sunday work and working day off as well on rotation.On-the-job training is provided and you will be partnered up with another team member to start with. Full training will be provided if successful in this role but are looking for the following knowledge and experience :

• Loading Customer orders from Warehouse to your Van


• Ensuring all orders correct with delivery notes


• Delivering customer order in correct manner


• Following Health and safety and driving laws


• Ensuring all trays are stacked neatly in van and empty tray from customers


• Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness in vans/areas at all times


• Ensuring all PPE issued is worn at all times

What we’re looking for:

Being great with people is essential. In fact, this is the first thing we look for when we recruit a Greencore driver. Of course, you also need to have afull UK driving licenseheld for at least six months with amaximum of 6points. Van driving experience is preferred.
