Job summary

Grafters Recruit are looking for multiple committed Home delivery van drivers in Wembley delivering furniture for IKEA individually or alongside a Driver's Mate who will assist in the lifting and shifting of items. Customer service will be at the heart of this role.

Duties include driving a 3.5 tonne van, performing vehicle checks, and ensuring safe delivery of stock while maintaining a high standard of customer service.

Qualifications

• Physically able to lift items
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Valid in-date manual driving license with up to 6 penalty points

Responsibilities

• Drive a 3.5 tonne van safely and in accordance with road traffic laws
• Perform pre- and post-journey vehicle checks and report defects
• Ensure stock is secured and delivered safely to customers
• Provide first-class customer service on every delivery

DUTIES INCLUDE:

• Driving a 3.5 Tonne Van in a safe manner, complying with all road traffic, and vehicle legislation
• Performing vehicle checks at the beginning and end of each journey and reporting all defects
• Ensuring the vehicle and stock are properly always secured and delivered in a safe manner
• Always providing a first-class customer service experience

REQUIREMENTS:

• This is a physically demanding role including lifting and shifting - essential that you are physically able to lift items
• Valid in-date driving license manual licence
• No more than 6 points on driving license
• Previous experience in a multi drop role would be advantageous but not essential
• Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential
• DBS security check will be completed on the successful candidate
