We are partnering with a leading global consultancy to recruit a Financial Services Value Creation Director to join its team, advising private equity investors and major financial services organisations on complex transactions, business transformation and value creation.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced consulting leader to work alongside leading private equity investors and major financial services organisations, driving value creation across the investment lifecycle. You’ll lead high-profile engagements spanning operational due diligence, transformation and cost optimisation, helping PE clients maximise investment returns and financial services businesses unlock their full potential.

As a Financial Services Value Creation Director, you will:

• Operational Due Diligence: Lead operational due diligence engagements, assessing business performance, operational risks and opportunities to enhance value ahead of investment.
• Value Creation Strategy: Develop value creation plans and reports, identifying opportunities to improve EBITDA, increase profitability and drive sustainable growth.
• Post-Merger Integration: Lead integration programmes following acquisitions, ensuring deal synergies are realised and strategic objectives are delivered.
• Separation & Carve-Outs: Oversee separation planning and execution, supporting complex transactions and business carve-outs.
• Cost Reduction & Transformation: Identify and deliver cost optimisation initiatives, improving efficiency, productivity and overall financial performance.
• Client Leadership: Build trusted relationships with private equity investors, C-suite executives and senior stakeholders across financial services organisations.
• Programme Delivery: Lead multidisciplinary teams, oversee complex engagements and translate strategic recommendations into measurable commercial outcomes.
• Business Development: Support the growth of the practice through client relationship development, proposal development and identification of new value creation opportunities.

We are looking for a Director-level professional who combines strong consulting credentials with experience in the financial services sector.

You will ideally have:

• Management consulting experience, with a track record of leading complex client engagements and delivering measurable business outcomes.
• Experience working within financial services, with experience in any area of the sector considered. This could include banking, insurance, asset and wealth management, payments, fintech, consumer finance or other financial services businesses.
• A strong track record in operational due diligence, value creation and transaction-related advisory.
• Experience delivering post-merger integration, separation, carve-outs and/or large-scale transformation programmes.
• Demonstrable expertise in cost reduction, operational improvement and EBITDA enhancement.
• Experience working with private equity investors, portfolio companies and/or large financial services organisations.
• Strong commercial acumen, analytical capabilities and the ability to communicate complex recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Proven leadership skills, including team development, client management and engagement delivery.
