Job summary

Hawk Hiring is seeking a skilled Technician/Mechanic near Maidstone to service and repair VAG group vehicles. You will perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and major repairs in a collaborative, two-person setup, with a focus on safety and quality workmanship.

The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with no weekend work, a guaranteed base salary £38,000–£42,000, and a strong team culture in a long-standing local workshop known for staff retention.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on background in diagnostic fault-finding, timing chains/belts, and general servicing.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Willing to learn VW/Audi product line.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine servicing and vehicle health checks on VAG group vehicles.
• Carry out core mechanical work including timing chains/belts, brakes, suspension, and diagnostics.
• Work in pairs on larger repair tasks to maintain efficiency.
• Use modern diagnostic tools to isolate and fix faults.
• Keep a clean, safe bay and deliver right-first-time workmanship.
