Job summary

Hawk Hiring in Croydon is seeking a skilled workshop technician for a full-time, permanent role. You will perform vehicle servicing, brakes, suspension, steering setups, exhausts, and light repairs as part of a growing team and a new VAG department.

Working Monday to Friday with no weekends, you'll enjoy a guaranteed base salary of £28,000–£35,000 and benefits including 28 days leave, a pension, and free secure staff parking. Full UK driving licence required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of active hands‑on garage experience.
• NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 / City & Guilds / IMI qualification.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Core mechanical work: vehicle servicing, brakes, suspension, steering setups, exhausts, and light component repairs.
• Diagnostic upskilling: shadow senior techs using VAG diagnostic software to isolate faults.
• Department workflow: assist with workshop organization, digital service records, and multi-brand fleet prep.
