Job summary

Hawk Hiring is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician / VAG Specialist to join an established independent garage and service centre in Godalming. You will service vehicles, perform complex diagnostics using ODIS, and carry out maintenance with a strong focus on safety and quality.

The role emphasizes Monday–Friday, 08:30–17:00, with no weekend shifts, offering a pension scheme, staff parking, and ongoing technical development in a family-run environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
• Proven workshop experience with strong knowledge of VAG platforms (Audi, VW, SEAT, Skoda).
• F-Gas certification preferred or interest in obtaining it.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine vehicle servicing, brake overhauls, clutch replacements, timing belts/chains, and general mechanical maintenance.
• Utilize ODIS and modern diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and resolve electrical, mechanical, and engine management faults.
• Maintain high safety and quality standards to deliver first-time fix results and workshop efficiency.
• Collaborate with workshop colleagues to ensure smooth job flow and uphold customer trust.
