Job summary

Hays Construction and Property is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial management of a portfolio of utilities/infrastructure projects from pre-construction through final account. You will prepare applications for payment, produce CVRs and cost reports, and manage subcontract accounts with NEC contract awareness.

This role offers hybrid working with three days in the office, and opportunities to grow within a Tier 1 contractor's expanding framework.

Qualifications

• Quantity Surveying experience within utilities, nuclear, aviation, environmental or M&E.
• Minimum of 2 years experience as a Quantity Surveyor or similar role.
• Willing to go Permanent.
• White CSCS Card or relevant professional qualification.
• Strong commercial and contractual knowledge.
• Experience producing CVRs, forecasts and cost reports.
• Experience managing subcontractor accounts and applications for payment.
• Good understanding of NEC contracts.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and managing applications for payment.
• Cost reporting, forecasting and CVR production.
• Subcontract procurement and account management.
• Managing variations and change control processes.
• Reviewing and administering contracts.
• Supporting compensation event and commercial change processes.
• Managing cash flow forecasts and cost-to-complete reporting.
• Working closely with operational teams to maximise value and minimise risk.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
• Supporting project delivery across multiple sites where required.
