Job summary

Vertical Recruitment Limited is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to support a major electricity transmission project. Based in Manchester, you will join the project commercial team and help manage financial and contractual aspects across the programme.

You will work within an infrastructure-focused consultancy environment, gaining exposure to NEC contracts and multi-stakeholder coordination while operating in a hybrid pattern with office and site/project locations.

Qualifications

• Experience in infrastructure, utilities, energy, or major capital programmes.
• Strong grounding in Quantity Surveying and commercial management.
• Comfortable in complex project environments with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Cost planning, forecasting and financial reporting.
• Support procurement and tendering activities.
• Commercial management of contractors and supply chain partners.
• Assessment of applications, valuations and payments.
• Change control and compensation events handling.
• Contract administration with exposure to NEC contracts.
• Monitor project costs against budgets and forecasts.
• Support risk and opportunity management.
• Prepare commercial reports for client and project team.
