Job summary

The Engage Partnership Recruitment is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth across the South of England. The successful candidate will identify and secure opportunities, develop key customer relationships, and deliver against sales targets.

Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years' utilities industry experience and a proven track record in business development or related roles.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years' utilities industry experience (gas, water, electricity, multi-utilities, infrastructure, or utility services).
Proven experience in a Business Development, Sales, or Account Management role.
Demonstrable success in winning new business and achieving sales targets.
Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Responsibilities

Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities across the South of England.
Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through to contract award.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships and networks.
Deliver compelling proposals and commercial solutions.
Aim to achieve and exceed sales and revenue targets.
Monitor market activity, competitor movements, and industry trends.
Collaborate with internal teams to support business objectives.
Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts, and pipeline reporting.
