Job summary

Talent is seeking a proactive User Researcher to join a fast-paced delivery environment in the UK. You will drive evidence-based decisions, advocate for users, and help teams make complex concepts simple.

Working in a multidisciplinary, agile context, you will plan research roadmaps, conduct qualitative and quantitative studies, oversee recruitment and tooling, and translate findings into actionable guidance for product and service teams.

Qualifications

• Experience planning a research roadmap and hypotheses in agile teams.
• Ability to run qualitative and quantitative user research methods.
• Experience with recruitment, incentives, and research tooling setup.

Responsibilities

Job Description

We are looking for a proactive, collaborative User Researcher to join a fast paced delivery environment. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will drive evidence based decisions, advocate for the user, and make the complex look and sound simple

Key Responsibilities And Essential Experience

• Research Planning and Strategy: Define research roadmaps, set hypotheses with multidisciplinary teams, and align research activities with broader strategic objectives
• End-to-End Execution: Apply a range of qualitative and quantitative user research methods, define test scripts, and facilitate usability testing
• Research Operations: Oversee recruitment, incentives, software, and tooling setup as required.
• Analysis and Synthesis: Lead data analysis and synthesising, involving your team throughout the process to deliver clear, actionable findings
• Inclusive and Accessible Design: Ensure research considers the diversity of users to make services usable and accessible for everyone
• Embedding UR Culture: Demonstrate the value of user research to sceptical stakeholders and help immature teams embed user centred practices into their agile workflow.
• Remote Collaboration: Comfortably drive continuous research while working alongside distributed teams

Key Skills And Capabilities

• Agile and User-Centred Practice: Hands-on experience integrating continuous research within agile delivery teams. Clear understanding of user centric vs. user led approaches
• Communication and Engagement: Proven ability to present findings clearly, make complex concepts accessible, and advocate for doing the right thing
• Technical Context: Working knowledge of the technologies used to build digital services and an understanding of multidisciplinary team roles
• Strategic Alignment: Ability to connect user insights directly to the core problem the team is trying to solve

• Prior experience on projects relating to data-driven decision-making
