Job summary

Wallace Hind Selection is seeking a Sales Manager in West Sussex to own the complete used vehicle lifecycle—from sourcing and appraisal to pricing, marketing and final handover. You’ll develop the business plan, hit sales and gross-profit targets, and build a customer base across operators, fleets and rental firms.

The role focuses on sourcing quality minibuses and specialist commercial vehicles, managing valuations, pricing and collaborations with the local market.

Qualifications

• Experience in used vehicle sales, purchasing or remarketing.
• Ability to source and appraise used minibuses and specialist vehicles.
• Strong negotiation and margin management skills.
• Proven ability to develop a business plan and hit sales targets.

Responsibilities

• Own the used vehicle lifecycle from sourcing to handover to customers.
• Develop and deliver the used vehicle business plan and sales targets.
• Source quality used minibuses, midi-coaches and specialist passenger vehicles.
• Manage appraisals, valuations, pricing and preparation costs.
• Build relationships with operators, fleets, local authorities, dealers, leasing and rental firms.
• Identify part-exchange opportunities alongside the new vehicle sales team.
• Generate new business via databases, website inquiries, marketing and networks.
• Monitor stock levels, stock age, depreciation, margins and working capital.
