Job description

The Urology department Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust is looking for

enthusiastic colleagues that will support our very busy Urology service.

The post holder will be offered experience in Urology. As post holder you will be playing an integral part in delivering and developing an excellent Urology service. You will be responsible for the admission and ward care of patients, assist in theatres, SDEC, outpatient clinics, MDTs, initiate and complete Audits, participate in Research Trials (ongoing as well as help initiate new projects).

The post holders must have a major interest in Urology and will provide support to the Urology department in delivering national cancer and elective recovery targets.

The Urology department has an expectation that you will undertake clinical audit/research projects and present the findings to your colleagues and other departments as part of monthly audit and clinical governance meetings.

Main duties of the job

Responsible for day-to-day care of Urology in-patients.

Working under the supervision of allocated Consultants.

Attendance at Outpatient Clinics on Queen Elizabeth site

Attendance at Elective, SAU and CEPOD lists in Urology.

Attend weekly MDTs.

Participation in any research activities of the department is encouraged.

Any other appropriate duties as directed by the Consultant Urologists.

Participate in a 1:8 on call registrar rota
