Job summary

Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Urology Cancer Team Support Worker to join the Urology Cancer Nursing Team. The role is patient facing and administrative, providing information and signposting to services via email or telephone, and supporting patients and families throughout their care.

You will help organise the clinical nursing team to deliver cancer services efficiently, process referrals and queries, and record patient information on Trust IT systems to ensure

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare administration and patient information support.
• Ability to provide information and signpost to appropriate services.

Responsibilities

• Provide general, specific and specialist information to patients and clinical teams regarding urological cancer and cancer services.
• Provide information and support for people with non-complex care needs.
• Engage with community services as appropriate.
• Record patient information on the Trusts IT systems.
• Assist the PSA Tracker team with administration tasks and ensure blood tests are requested as required.
• Contribute to maintaining and organising the day-to-day running of the Urological Cancer Nursing service.
